Natural Rubber

Temp Range: -40 °C to +75°C (+100°C intermittently)

Strengths: High tensile strength with good resistance to abrasion, tear & fatigue.

Weaknesses: Susceptible to attack by ozone, poor resistance to mineral & ~ petroleum based oils.

Neoprene

Temp Range: -30°C to +110°C (125°C intermittently)

Strengths: Good ageing, abrasion & weather resistance with some resistance to petroleum-based oils lend themselves to low flammability applications.

Weaknesses: Poor electrical properties, not resistant to ester lubricants & poor resistance to chemicals.

Silicone

Temp Range: -60°C to +200°C (250°C intermittently)

Strengths: Outstanding ozone & weather resistance, good electrical properties, good temperature-range.

Weaknesses: Poor resistance to petroleum based fluids, has a tendency to creep.

EPDM

Temp Range: -45°C to +120°C

Strengths:Outstanding resistance to ozone. Light ageing, oxidative & heat ageing & many inorganic and organic chemicals, good low temperature behaviour.

Weaknesses:Poor resistance to petroleum-based fluids.

Nitrile

Temp Range:-30°C to +110°C (150°C intermittently)

Strengths:Excellent fuel and oil resistnce

Weaknesses:Poor ozone and low temp performance, but these can be amended by the addition of plasticizers.

Viton

Temp Range:-20°C to +200°C (275°C intermittently)

Strengths:Excellent resistance to heat, oil , ozone, weather and chemical attack.

Weaknesses:Only fair low temp performance.

O Rings

We can supply virtually any size of metric/imperial O ring in any material, I.E. Nitrile, Neoprene, Silcone, EPDM, Viton, Kalrez, ptfe & Encapsulated O Rings, these include any UK, American, European & Japanese sizes.

O ring Kits/Cord also supplied, spliced/butt joined O Rings can be supplied for non-standard sizes.

Flexible or rigid, and dual hardness extrusions, in coil form or cut to length, we offer many polymer types: PVC, polypropylene, Acrylic, EVA, TPE, TPR 7 Nylon etc, we have many standard existing dies (chanel strips, L, T, tubes & nylonstudding etc) if we do not have existing tooling we can supply custom Extrusions to your exact specifications.
